Designed for large-scale commercial goat milk farming, the Optima External Goat Rotary milking solution maximises comfort for both the operator and the animals, reducing stress levels so the goats let their milk down easily. Rubber matting and enticement feeding keep your herd relaxed, while the unique cluster presentation arm keeps the cups and controls at the optimal height — making milking fast, easy and comfortable.
Capable of milking up to 1,330 goats per hour and easily run with minimal labour, the system is available in seven sizes from 60 to 120 bails (in 10-bail increments) so the platform’s rotation period suits the relatively short milking time goats require.
The platform is constructed with an unparalleled build quality using durable, long-life materials. The stainless steel platform reduces wear and tear, lowers maintenance costs, and is easy to clean even when exposed to effluent. Long-lasting stainless steel feed bins are hygienic and easy to maintain — avoiding the costly replacement of plastic bins that goats like to chew on. The entire platform deck features rubber matting to make it more comfortable for goats to walk and be milked on, plus enticement feeding to further reduce stress. Headlocks keep each goat secure and facing forward, so they can’t move out or jump into the next bail once they’ve finished eating.
The Optima External Goat Rotary is fully compatible and upgradeable with Waikato Milking Systems’ world-leading dairy automation, and can be configured with the NaviGate Dairy Management System to automate drafting and increase milking efficiency.
